Here are some points that you have to keep in mind while using lavender oil……
1. Lavender oil seems to have hormone effects that could disrupt the normal hormones in a boy's body (who have not yet reached puberty). Lavender oil is not recommended for use with young boys as it has been linked to abnormal breast development (called gynecomastia). (This is also true for tea tree oil.)
2. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible.
3. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitization. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose.
4. Stop using lavender oil at least 2 weeks before scheduled a surgery.
5. Not all oils are created equal, so test brands carefully, and never use an oil in a way not recommended by its maker.
6. Lavender oil boosts the effects of sleep medication and anti-depressants. Therefore, be cautious when using lavender oil if you take these types of medications.

14. In some cases lavender oil can lead to excessive drowsiness or the patient may feel sleepy.
15.When taken by mouth, lavender can cause constipation, headache, and increased appetite.
